Assemblyman Jones announces new Law Enforcement Academy Training Facility

Everyone in the North Country deserves to feel safe and it all starts with law enforcement training. I joined local law enforcement and community leaders to announce the new Zone 9 Law Enforcement Academy Training Facility at Clinton Community College, and I am proud to have secured $250,000 for this project. This will ensure that they have the necessary equipment and facility to properly train local law enforcement officers, and it will also go a long way to help recruit new officers during a time where all municipal and local sheriff’s departments are experiencing staffing shortages. This is a matter of public safety, and I will continue to make sure that local law enforcement agencies have the resources they need to continue to protect our communities.
