Assemblyman Jones announces funding for the Community Friendship Volunteer Program

Today I announced I secured funding for the Community Friendship Volunteer Program run by the Community Health Center of the North Country today at the Valley Ridge Manor housing. This funding helps support programming and transportation costs for seniors to get to their medical appointments. I then stopped to talk about the reopening of Senior Planet at the Malone Senior Center early next year. I’m proud to get funding each year in the budget for Senior Planet, and I love hearing from individuals about how the program has helped them learn more about technology as well as take online classes. I had a great time chatting with everybody during both visits, and learning about how important these programs are to them. I want to thank all the staff and volunteers for all they do for seniors in our community.
